I joined the indigenous Naso tribe of Panama |S6-E35|

In this episode, I am visiting some members of the Naso tribe in Panama. Orlando is showing me around the area that they live, and the importance of the river Teribe, for the existence of their people. It was a visit that left the biggest impression on me during my entire stay in Panama.

  1. I know this sounds like political but maybe you can give them advice about befriending neighbour tribe so they wont attack each other bcuz that's what businesswo/man from the city want. devide et impera. Love from Indonesia!

  2. Ok I think we can all agree on one thing – she's the real life Miss Indiana Jones! And on a serious note, I think you answered a question I've often had. Which is, despite the hope for a kind humanity notwithstanding, you surely must have some sort of self-defense about you – that got answered in this episode!

  3. Goodness, that was so brilliant. Like travelling back in time but from a modern day perspective. I was very taken by the description of how the Naso have been persecuted and pushed back by outsiders encroaching on their land and now the threat from hydro-electric energy production drying-up their lifeline further still. Your travelogue helps to illustrait just how complex human interactions and society are the world over. Peoples natural inclination is to live in peace and harmony. The reality is so often conflict and further marginalisation. Viva Honda!
