🤣 . That salad is sooooooo tastefull… you're just not used to it. Also probably that place recepie whasn't good. Sometimes they use to much olive oil, or bad onions. Just try diferent places, so you can judge 😉
Sorry Dave, I do love my salada de orelha de porco and would eat it over MacDonald's (or any kind of fast food) without a thought. Hell, that's not even in the same food level. I do remember Americans use Lampreys to make food for animals, you consider those tasty buggers as vermin, right 😉?
Sorry for the bad news, but dobrada isn't stomach, it's the intestines… Either way, you've just touched the tip of the iceberg in what regards to awkward stuff we eat:
-Túbaros
-Iscas
-caracoletas
… and the list goes on and on…
ahhhaha would love to see Dave's face trying to eat cabidela de coelho or lampreia, theres even weird foods made with cow brain. Pig ear is entry lvl 1 ahah
I'm Portuguese and I absolutely hate pig's ear salad and dobrada, as well as snails and any dish containing offal.
I'm portuguese and you would never catch me eating pigs ear.
I am portugese and i love very much my pigs hear !!!
Oh this one it's a classic. I'm from Alentejo in Portugal and old folks there love this dish. They must have "iron-bellies" I bet, still gives me the creeps remembering my first shot at it. 😅
Eu adoro orelha de porco ahahahahaha
🤭
I love hogs hear, but it has to be eaten hot/worm … this in traditional culinary does not exist as cold , this could just be someone hungry making up a dish.
You have to try arroz de cabidela
I Hate it personally
Salada de orelha de porco é divinal
Next try caneja d'infundice 😀
U have the right to say if u like or not personally i dont like either so yeh whats the problem with not liking its normal
That is actually one of the common starters you’ll find in Portuguese restaurants very often, along with octopus salad, both meant to be eaten chilled. Now you’ve got to try our snails when they come into season, just make sure you get someone who really know how to cook them. Avoid the crowded places that sell then as they don’t have the time to let them sit in the sauce long enough for the flavours to set in. Ice cold beer, bread and butter and snails under a shade along with some friends having a good chat, and don’t forget the toothpicks to fish out the little buggers from their shells. You’ll either love them or hate them, but it will be another item on your culinary experience. We should actually make medals for the tourists who are brave enough to try them and finish a plate. Will you dare to take on the snail challenge? I double dare you.
I just love this food.
As portuguese as I am, jees, leave that!
This is one of my favorite 😂
I'm portuguese and I hate pig ear salad!🤣🤣🤣
Just go to a "TASCA" a typical place do eat and drink
Ask anyone
Damn, cant stand dobrada… Honestly! Not a fan of pig's ear as well…
Dude, where do you live?
I like pig ear but I don't like the texture of snails, they're both chewy tho. Papas de Sarrabulho looks like liquid crap but it's delicious
Pig ear with chestnuts is my favorite dish. Took me a while to make it the way I like it but now it is great.
Offense not taken. We love what we live we hate what we hate. Not to often I like salada de orelha. Dobrada and grão com mão de vaca.. that could be everyday. Best
Fraquinho…😆!
Well If that was the worst for you, maybe you shouldn't try "papas de sarrabulho" … after that you may want to change your channel's name to Dave in Whatever country that's not Portugal….
P.s. pig's ear salad is one of the best starters out there 🤣
the food is not bad. you just don't like it. two very different concepts.
“Portugal’s worst food” seems a bit disrespectful I’m afraid. And the same goes for the rest of the worlds cuisines, we have to respect the differences, the culture, and even the backstory/background of certain dishes. I understand the point of this video, is about what you didn’t enjoyed so much about our food, but a different choice of words would be better.
Its hard because it's totally clocked it takes about to hours boiling and then you must put lot of onions garlic olive oil salt vinagre and Abit of hot sauce.🤤🤤🤤
