Had I been focused coming out of high school, I would have had my black a$$ in the air force and become a pilot, or out in Hollywood fighting to be a writer. Instead, I continued my career in the auto industry and eventually trucking. No complaints though as I've been abundantly blessed and able to provide a good life for me and my family!!
Btw, I used to haul cars in and out of the ports in Baltimore back in 2005. Have they ever fixed those roads as the potholes were ridiculous??😂😂

Totally agree that too many black men living in fear, I got my passport and started to travel abroad on my own back in 1991, I visited Germany and was apart of history, when East and West Germany united to one country.
The following year, I traveled to Austria and Switzerland, dated a women in Switzerland for awhile. My black friends and some of my relatives laughed at me. Because "Black people don't travel abroad."

And what you say about skills is all true, I have a master's degree but recently changed my skill set to cybersecurity and cloud computing. Never stop learning, never stop growing.
