Beijinos e abraços,
Carissa, Iwan, Frankie & Albi

Carissa, Iwan & Frankie decided one night over a bottle of wine that moving from North Wales to Portugal would be a good idea. Within a month they were on the road to Portugal to find the perfect piece of land to call their new home. We picked up Albi the cat along the way. Subscribe to follow our journey as we turn an old stone barn into our home, and learn the ropes of looking after a piece of land to make an abundant garden and one day, our very own winery.

  1. Look at you guys , being vintners , farmers , dog parents and carpenters . It would be nice to secure that property directly behind you & the well ! Maybe he’ll be negotiable in a while .

  2. He has the perfect personality and fits so perfectly in with the family.
No more discussion he is your new son!!
    Welcome Diego, you lucky dog!!
Your life was ment to be and has value more than gold or silver….
Brovo you captured their hearts 💕 💞

  3. Quite a viticulturist and now a horticulturist!!! Congratulations on your successful efforts! Gotta get that irrigation system perfected….good luck! I'm liking what I see from Theo and Bee's water setup with the huge tank. I realize it all takes $$$$$$.

  4. Gosh, they are both so adorable! I’m so glad that you have (almost 🙂 decided to keep Diogo, he clearly loves you so much! I have rescued three stray dogs from India and brought them over to Europe when we returned, they have been such a blessing in our lives, I couldn’t imagine being without them. So very happy for you, Frankie and little Diogo. Wonderful! 😊🙏

  5. I love the deck idea! Maybe even have it on a hinge over the water tank/pool so that you can lift it up to swim or clean. The deck will also help prevent algae from growing by stopping the light from getting through. The land next door is a must! Add a carport for vehicles, not sure if a lean-to would be high enough on the back of the barn? Maybe offer to rent the land with option to buy in a year or 2.

  6. So glad that Diego is doing so well. Both doggies are so adorable and I’m so glad they get along so well. Isn’t Frankie and awesome swimmer…so cute! ☺️♥️

  7. Frankie, so handsome.
That land would put your buildings in the middle of the plot and greatly enhance the amenity of your property. I would try e5K on a rent to buy basis.

  8. Great video <3 Good to see you watering your veggies 😉 hehe, the grapes already look amazing and wow to capturing the golden oriole didn't realise it was such a big bird, oh wow yes try and get extra funds to buy that land it feels it would make it complete and would give even more privacy and l noticied lots of vines 🙂 sell the car as you ahve your van and the bikes and then you would have that money plus wouldn't have to buy a new engine, just a thought 🙂

  9. I absolutely adore Diego, he is a smashing little character. I know you're going to keep him, he will make a wonderful addition to your little family. He will equally find his feet with you and once he is able to mobilise freely, and with your teaching him he will be just fine. PS: play hide and seek with him, with you hiding and calling him, and let him find you, make a huge fuss when he does and that'll teach him to keep an eye on where you are.
