The tv cultural programme ‘Il-Barokk – Storja ta’ Mara’, focuses on the Baroque period in Malta and its influences on art, architecture, theatre, literature, economy and politics. Gabriella Parsons, the presenter of the popular programme in Maltese conducted a feature on period dresses, inviting guest speakers including Caroline Tonna. ‘Il-Barokk – Storja ta’ Mara’ is produced by Evolution Media.
Back in 1998, Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti presented ‘Costume in Malta’, an exhibition featuring traditional clothes worn by country folk and period dresses by the privileged classes.
