  1. Great question and episode!!!! Two things I'm surprised you didn't mention. One is the many tax relief options for single parents. The other is the fact that many families (including Amon and Christina) go through periods where one is not working or might be making much less, or even taking on more loans to go through school. Especially since the pandemic I feel that this has become the standard situation for many families I know. When it's the higher earner that lost the job it can get really hard. Add to that medical issues, e.g. if one person is unable to work for an extended period and the other has to not only pay but also care for more people at home. I think if you are single and high earner (like this lady 6+ figure income, we don't make that much together!), you might be multiplying that by two in your head and thinking how much better it would be, but in reality it's rarely like that. We have to shake off the mindset that the grass is greener on the other side and focus on our own situation and its leverage. With a 6fig income and common sense, and the stock market being at a great place to buy buy buy, this lady is in a really good place. All my best wishes!!

  2. Is so true! The mindset 👏 because not for all couples is easier. In my case…my partner is not on board and I'm the only one working for now…his business is not making money yet. Listening to her story I feel like she has an advantage!

  3. As a single parent I totally understand this question but you guys are right I focused on increasing my income and not focusing on others journeys but instead focus on what I can do to pursue FIRE for myself and my daughter 😁
