This is my final video in this memorable 9-part series in Venezuela. I am so sad to leave this country – it’s my favorite in all of Latin America and I know that I’ll be back someday soon!

You may have noticed that many of the videos in my Venezuela series have revolved around the unfortunate economical situation (etc) — but in this video, I wanted to share with you the other side of the story… The high class!

I was shocked to find out that Caracas has an ULTRA WEALTHY inner bubble, with expensive restaurants, swanky bars, high end shopping and exclusive golf clubs. My friend Emmanuel (@DosLocosDeViaje) and I spent my last day in town exploring the luxury life, and it was a blast!

If you’re still reading this, thank you from the bottom of my heart for tuning into this series. Thank you for all of your comments, questions and thoughts. It’s a great opportunity to tell stories in a country as misconceived as Venezuela, and it’s a true pleasure to open your eyes to real life, real people and real situations happening on these streets. As for now, I’m making a stop home (Arizona) before heading on a road trip around IRAQ Proper – stay tuned for more amazing stories!

  1. Things are slowly getting better in Venezuela right now, the inflation is no longer a big deal anymore, the country its not that insecure right now, the big problem now are the salaries, people are not earning $3 a month anymore, the average salary right now is $120 a month, you would say that going from $3 to $120 is a big jump, it might be, but now you have to buy everything in dollars and most of the things are in US prices. But if the economy keeps going in this direction, the salaries will keep going up, and thats the good thing

  2. This "ultra rich" is low income in America. It just rubs me the wrong way seeing these folks basically mocking the poor.. How is this country socialist yet there's this "ultra rich"/low class people? They may seem kind in front of you but it's these kind of "ultra rich" FASCISTS who mock indigenous and force them off their land. They aren't rich from hard work. They are rich from ROBBERY.

  3. I am disgusted by the sheer amount of first world people here trying to say it's the same in their countries. It's just not. Try to not downplay these people's sufferings and let them have the little brief spot lights they get instead of trying to equate your trivial first world "problems" with an 80+% extreme poverty rate.

  4. To hear the guy talk about regular Venezuelans need to hustle bla bla. It's pretty sickening. The system there is so messed up that the VAST majority have no chance of improving their situation. It's a horrible attitude that many rich people have in that they think "If I made it, you should too". Prick.

  5. Valle Arriba Golf Club… Used to have a membership there when I was living there. There are more that a hundred members for sure but still ver expensive… Beautiful and peaceful thought. Missed those days.
