Before the Brazilian election on Sunday I was in a store in my Boston neighborhood and saw a pretty woman who looked Brazilian. I asked her if she was. She smiled and said she was. I asked her who she wanted to win in the election. Bolsonaro, she replied in a tone that suggested that the answer was obvious. Unknown to me, another Brazilian woman was listening as we spoke. She came up to me and said that she was for Lula. Then the two women got into a fun back and forth in which one would utter her candidate then the other would utter hers. Anyway, now that Bolsonaro has basically indicated that he will not interfere with the election results, the drama is pretty much over. In other words, I can finally turn my attention from politics to social things. This nice interview is a good transition. I need to get to Brazil! 😀

Like Jesse W, I finally decided to come to Brazil because of your video content. I'd heard good things since 2010 about Rio, but it was so much easier (and cheaper) to go to South America, which I did over 12 times. Glad I made the trip to Brazil.
