Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

  1. If you'd like a personal tour of Gabriola Island, a small gulf island off of Vancouver Island, with a local, I'm your gal. I've met a few travel youtubers who have somehow ended up in my beautiful corner of the world. 🙂 You'll love Canada. It's a gem of a place to live!

  2. Regarding getting married. It depends where you live or if you plan to move across certain country borders. For example, if you were to move to the US because one of you got a job in the US, if you were not married you would not be able to move together and hospitals and taxes would not recognize your relationship. Other countries, like Canada you are what is called common law married because you've been together so long. The government will recognize your relationship and there are laws to protect you and give you access to each other in places with common law marriage laws only. If you don't plan to move and you don't care, don't get married, it's just an expensive party if the law recognizes you already.
ETA: Oh and take the train from Vancouver to Jasper. You get to see things you'll never get to by the road. Its beautiful

  3. Hey I am from and back in Vancouver (after returning from the Eu in Feb) and have recommendations for the whole of BC as well as spots here: hikes, ocean, restaurants…will make a list!

  4. I'd say it's more a home than a house by now, isn't it? House and barn are the structures. Home is the result of adding heart and warmth into those structures. You've done that, haven't you?

  5. We’re getting a water tank delivered this week as well! But ours is a hot tub … 😏

I will say, your plunge pool has inspired us to keep it cool in the summer, assuming it stops raining ever in the PNW!

  6. We are going to celebrate our 25th anniversary in July 30 and we were together for 29 years all together and this is my second marriage the first Mary join last be six years and it didn’t last long with the two boys were born and then decided it didn’t like to live in an apartment in the basement of apartment building and she left me at the moment and then we got divorced in 1987 and I went to Southern Alberta and found my wife and crows nest pass Alberta and 93in 97 we got we got married so yes ins nice to be married
And if you are in Canada it be beautiful to see you in our area of Alberta Canada town is called pincher Creek and we have Waterton national park and lots of areas for your camping that if you want to go camping sleepy Hollow Campground just down the road from here we have museums in town here it was very old building from 1800s and lots of buildings in town is just as old still in use and there is Buffalo jump area outside of town here we’re back in the days when the needles are used to run the buffaloes over the cliff to kill him for food and us the Buffalo hide to make the cheapies in and closing wear on their backs A lot of history in Alberta I can take it to lotta areas

  7. Make it official! Your obviously devoted to each other, why waist time. Even if you have an official come to your property & marry you? Bea would wear flowers in her hair & Bare feet. You in hippy style? 👰

  8. Re getting married or not, you should check out Portugal's inheritance laws. In some countries eg France you are legally at a massive disadvantage if you are not married. Not a romantic reason, but could be a very strong financial one.

  9. You should grow up around Searchlight Nevada it was I didn’t see anybody for days and if you want to see anybody you go to the post office in Searchlight but no we didn’t see any cars or anything there for days now they opened up her mine 509 people now
