As an Eels fan I would like him to stay, but he's signed a contract with the Tigers so he has to go there. The problem is that these young players have managers who only care about getting the biggest deal they can get so THEY can get a bigger cut and that's it.

Simply stop players from bailing out of contracts . Once it is signed that's it .
There's no guarantees in life or in coaching . It's a gamble end of story .

Matty John's has said in the past that if a club debuts a player then they should take him through to 50 games then after that if they decide to keep him then they should take him through to 100 games. The Warriors let Ice go after 60 games and Para have now got 50 games out of him. All those 50 games have been top notch too.
