Hi Guys!
Welcome back to Island life in the Azores. We hope you’re enjoying being back to simple island life, on Pico Island.
First, we take one of our followers on a road trip, Julian is not only a follower but is also staying for 3 months in our cousin’s cottages Vista Montanha, in the coastal village of Sao Mateus.
We wanted him to get a little taste of the island. Our drive takes us along the coast and to the highlands of Pico.
You will also join us at an evening house party in a super quaint seaside village called Baia Das Canas. We were invited by some expats and followers of our channel for dinner, they are a wonderful couple. Gillian & Erik also introduced us to amazing locals and other expats and followers. A great evening had by all.
We hope you enjoyed hanging out with us,
Please like, subscribe and comment; we really appreciate it.
Here is one of our first videos of our channel, in case you want to start at the beginning
This one of our playlists, on us buying a rustic property here on the island

Great video! I have been to São Miguel many times and to Terceira only once. We made an attempt to visit the central islands two years ago but of course, we weren't able to. The airline that flies to the Azores has some package deals that we might do which would include a few days in either Faial or Pico and then the last 2 or three days in São Miguel or Saint Michaels as a lot of Portuguese Americans and Canadians like to say. I always find that funny that they translate it to English instead of just saying São Miguel! I think it would be a nice taste of these islands. My question is, could you just base yourself if let's say, Pico and then easily island hop? Your video is definitely inspiring me to book the airfare or package. Obrigado!
Thanks for the video. Only suggestion: music is too loud and bombards the video. I would rather hear the natural sounds.
Three questions for you guys… What's the story with housing insurance in the Azores? Being volcanic islands, are volcanic eruptions covered? On a different subject, do people grow apples there?
I love the azores, I love it there it is paradise on earth.
you have to feed the birds my friend.
how come you did not bring food for the birds, come on man!!!!

Great video thank you guys for sharing this with us. Abraco dos usa 🇺🇸
Pico looked a lot bigger when you went up to the highlands and panned around. I didn't see any house up there, do you know the reason for that?
Hi Carlos & Laura, great video! We’ll be on Pico this summer. We made it to Madeira last summer and thought we were going to die because driving on the steep, narrow roads (no guardrails on quite a few roads) with hundreds of feet of dropoffs just beyond the road’s edge was too much for us. We’re looking forward to seeing more views of Pico! Thank you for putting these videos together!
The type of duck is called Muscovy
Excelent video! Thanks for taking us on your journey!
What a nice time you seemed to have. I enjoyed the trip as well.
I’ve got to come and visit Pico.
I see my cousin Tiago was at your dinner 🙂 …it really is a small Island, can't wait to be back there in the coming months.
