  1. Looks like hard work on the sticks / kindling! Can't imagine manually breaking all those tiles up to walk on……there must be a faster way, but personally I would use them as edging for veg patches as you suggested!! Good luck

  2. I'd definitely use tiles to make edges for planting areas, stand them on end so you get some depth & knock them in to give some stability. I used bricks here but tiles would be so much better.
I'd keep all of them stacked somewhere until I thought of more uses, I'm sure there are many things they'd be useful for, if I could only think of them 🤔!
Well done getting the firewood bagged up.

  3. I think l would try to use your builders cement mixer to break up the roof tiles. If you break them into a reasonable size then by placing a strong chain or even metal weights into the mixer with the tiles ,it will break them up to a smaller size.
I would also only make pathways through that area, it would be a lovely area for sun / hot loving herbs and flowers.
Perhaps even a water feature It could become a walled courtyard area, especially if you manage to cover the old brick walls with lovely climbers.

  4. Hi. First my name is Mario and I'm from Portugal but living in Ireland for long time. I comment on your last video.
When i was in Portugal i did exactly what you thinking to do with old tiles and work perfect . What i did was. All the tiles on the ground and then i build a packer (with a bit of old tree and a handle) . So lift and leave it down With the weight smashes the tiles. Very very easy I know is difficult to understand what I'm saying but if you go to Youtube and watch a video called "Calcada Portuguesa" if you watch minute 8 you know what I'm talking about. Enjoy my Portugal i will be here for every video. On my way to Tomar tomorrow for my holydays Back next week. Adeus
