And I always felt a connection to her & then one day I was looking at her in a magazine, that is when my mom told me that I was named after Miss Mansfield!! I couldn't believe it, me Melissa Jayne Allen was named after such a beautiful lady!!!

160 is the favorite IQ when someone is supposed to be very intelligent, but there's no real evidence for it. 160 is generally the highest score given – anything higher is such a rough estimate that you just can't trust it. Jayne may have had more sense than her bimbo persona in the movies, but that says little about IQ, other than she wouldn't have been below average (100).

In 1959 a new section of elevated road was completed in West London known as the Chiswick flyover. On the 30 September 1959, Jayne Mansfield officially opened it. It was later extended and in 1964, became part of the M4 motorway entering London from the west. In 2009, a memorial plaque was unveiled in Chiswick in memory of her.

I had been told that it was a convertible. Obviously, that’s not the case. Also people used to say she was decapitated. She was not.

Now trucks have bars hanging down on the back to prevent cars from going under the truck in the event of a rear end collision. They’re called Mansfield bars.

In Florida here, we just had a major car crash pile up, involving 27 cars due to fog rolling swiftly in and obscuring all vision from the cars!
