From the fine pedigree of the acclaimed ‘Fourmasons’ stable, comes this bright new guitar trio:

Led by Fino Lopes (guitar): Fino has played alongside The Beatles’ producer George Martin as well as American jazz legend, David Murray. He has written and produced music for TV in his native Portugal and toured extensively across Europe. Performance credits include Michael Lauren, Sergio Carolino, Stuart Hall, Eddy Parker, Chris Bachelor, Nikki Iles, Phil Robson and Rob Townsend.

Lee Boyd Allatson (drums): With a foundation in free improvisation (John Russell, Alan Wilkinson, Shih-Yang Lee) through ska music (Prince Buster, Laurel Aitken, Dawn Penn) and jazz (Paul Dunmall, Eddie Parker, Alex Clarke), Lee’s uncompromising and charismatic style now leads The Fourmasons and also Ka Safar.

Mark Trounson (bass): From Goldsmiths and the Royal Welsh College of Music, through studying with Simon Woolf and Bill McHenry (with whom he toured, alongside Jeff Williams) Mark now heads his own project, ‘Disquiet’.

As a unit, the ensemble aim to explore fully the history and geography of their jazz and world music influences. Not to be missed!
