  2. At 46 to 48 seconds into video how fast Toledo and board went up the wave face. He had buried the board's rail deep and then let up slightly which changed his boards angle and increased speed directly before carving into the lip of the wave.
    Like Florence, incredible talent, but perhaps a bit more finesse and skill predicting the waves potential speed & power sections.

Impressionante como nao tem 1 gringo falando mal do filipe ou qqr coisa do tipo, mas o brasileiro como sempre chato e sem conhecimento do esporte vem falar que "tentaram roubar" que "nao deu pra wsl"… Resultado normal de bateria 1 surfou mais que o outro e acabou, toda vez que tem brasileiro na agua é essa retardisse de um monte de zé cu que nem perto da praia mora dar palpite.

  9. a jetski shouldn't be able to overtake another ski to establish priority. If there hadn't been jetski assist JJ would have gotten the priority and won the heat IMO- JJ was 100 yards further out into the lineup than Toledo was at the end of their rides.

  22. WSL has the obligation to us viewers , give if not the name at least their nationality .Judges have no credit or trust , when they take over 2 minutes to put the score on the board . What they think …clear they are talking and fixing the note . Two things to change all the mystery and lack of credit WSL got it . Set time to give out the score , 45 seconds is plenty , and like they did 4 or 5 years ago . We don't need even the name , just the country flack would do it . Surf is the only sport in the world decided by judges , judges not even The CIA knows who and where they are from .;

  24. Okay, lets head to Chopes at 12 foot and see how dynamic Toledo can be….. I reckon he'd be on the shoulder and pleading for the heat to be ova. Not a hater, Toledo just not a complete surfer in ALL surf.

  33. JOHN JOHN IS DOING THE SAME SHIT FOR 4 YEARS, THE 2 LAYBACKS AND ONE GOOD FINISH.. NO VARIETY .. NO CREATIVITY … I HOPE THE JUDGES HAVE FINALLY REALIZED THAT… FILIPE MORE THAN DESERVED THIS VICTORY!

  36. Filipe is a MONSTER and VIRTUOSE. JJ always does the same surfing in competitions. He is nothing creative. He just can't see Gabriel Medina in front of him, because his crane legs are shaking. Medina is the best surfer of all time. The Tour is not the same without the biggest and best competitor. Now, a MESSAGE for the WSL announcers, with the exception of Fanning. Hey, be more impartial in your voiceover, okay? Are you presenters or fans? They will fuck off.
