This video was about our weeks house-sit in Leiria, before heading back to the sit near Mortagua over Christmas and New Year.
It was a bit of a wash-out with the weather, but it didn’t dampen our spirits, because we were entertained by the cheekiest kitten in the form of Rufinho or “Rufi” and the most adorable Golden Retreiver “Bailey”.

We even managed to get the car through its IMT Test and sort out our build permit extension and related construction electricity contract as the office was in Leiria, saving us a trip!

The city centre was just a short walk away from our house-sit so when it wasn’t raining we popped in to checkout the Christmas market and even made it into the city during the evening when the lights were on too.

It was also great to meet up with our friends for a final catch-up before we head off over the festive holiday for our next sit. We enjoyed a very pleasant and tastey Indian meal at the Everest Inn in the centre of Leiria. (Highly Recommended).

RF Arraiano was founded in 2010 in the United States of America, and in 2016 RF set up base in Portugal, more precisely in the village of Porto de Mós. It has brought knowledge of American architecture to Portugal, and now also provides construction of lasting and sustainable houses through a wood frame construction system, where resistant materials with environmental awareness are used.
