LET ME EXPLAIN THIS AGAIN | Portuguese Permaculture Projects

We are in the middle of renovating our house in an abandoned Portuguese village. There seem to be some misconceptions about our Grey Water Wetland project. So let’s explain this again 😉

Stay tuned for more building content and why not hit the notification bell so you don’t miss it 😉 thanks for watching!

My name is Jasper and i bought a house in a Portuguese ghost town. Together with my dogs Zoey & Akira we show you the rebuild of our house and what it is like living the daily life in Central Portugal.

  1. If you have vegetation close to the house you will always have mosquitoes hiding amongst them even if there is standing water or not.
What will happen in the rainy season where will the runoff go?

  2. You can make the same from mushroom mycelium goes in dirty comes out drinkable.
    Paul Stammets fantastic fungi.
Amazing you can eat the shrooms that grow out the shite.
Where have I heard that b4.

  3. Loved the short dog bit before the titles. Great idea for an intro… Although I thought it would be expanded upon later as to what the balls and marker pens were for that Akira seemed confused by. Nice edit.

  4. Triple dog? …and there is a dog next door now? I can't keep track of all the dogs! There is Zooey and Akira… I can even recognise them.. Then there is Pileto/Toby who likes to go for a walk but who are the other dogs? Maybe we need a video that just introduces all the dogs and tells us about who they are, where they live and what kind of things they like to do and their dog personalities and stuff. A special dog video basically.

  5. Nothing stopped mosquitoes in any of my ponds/water gardens except creatures that ate them, they lay even at the edges where leaves touch the water level, this includes moving water, I had a waterfall in one, so I recommend native carnivorous bugs/tiny fish/tadpoles good luck x

  6. A healthy moving wetland or permaculture will mean no mosquitos…mosquitos need strange ant water to populate…if it’s moving their larva will not survive as other insects will eat them! I think this is a GREAT idea Jasper!
