Beyond ridiculous, al gobierno español siempre le gusta dar x saco a Gibraltar! 😡

My understanding is that British passport holders may enter Spain from Gibraltar if they show evidence of onward travel arrangements and/or hotel reservations. We rarely cross the border into Spain when we visit Gibraltar, so this shouldn't be much of an issue for us and it would be a small price to pay for freedom from the EU, were we to do so. It is in the interests of both Gibraltar and Spain to ensure frictionless border crossings for those who cross the border frequently and I am sure this will happen.

Janna hi, this is disapointing news of this very sudden rule change affecting the border there, that the La Linea border guards are also surprised and dont know whats the point of it with Madrid's thinking. Even the Chief Minister didnt know anything about it until twitter starting tweeting..

I'm fully confident this silly issue will be resolved shortly as Gibraltar can also apply restrictions to Spanish residents crossing into Gibraltar for work, leisure and buying cheaper petrol!

As a follow up video, could you make and explain what is the difference between the Blue and Red Gibraltar residence cards? you said the Red was unaffected right?

I dont believe its a new EU wide schegen rule just suddenly came into affect affecting UK passport holders wherever they are going in the EU. It would be a big news story in the UK but heard nothing. Imagine the chaos business people travelling from UK for a day trip meeting being told sorry no entry unless you have a room booked for the night!! I used to do a lot of these day trips to France and Germany.

No problem …… Just Refused Entry to Spain and the Spanish people who do not have good reason for getting into Gibraltar .. Work both way sure that go down well with all the Spanish workers who come in from Spain everyday .

Жаннуля,спасибо за инфо из Гибралтара.Очень неприятная ситуация на границе,но это Испания так глупо решила пошутить именно над гибралтарцами,ну,не могут они простить Гибралтар Англии и это продолжается много лет.Но,всё успокоится и всё будет как прежде с небольшими дополнениями,очень хочется в это верить!

It's not a visa
It was agreed with Spain that in 2022 British passport holders travelling from Gibraltar to Spain would need to obtain this ETIAS
