If you are in Lisbon, let us know that you are safe, and how the flooding is in your area.
We were at a Holiday party on the 7th at LX Factory and the water was so high people had to leave their cars. You could not find a Taxi. Lucky the buses were running but 20 minutes late. When we were coming down Av. Duque de Ávila the bus was throwing a 6-foot wake. Before we left for Porto yesterday, I saw they rescued 16 people in Alcantara.
Hey Joric…didn’t know you had your own channel. You just popped up on our feed. Hope you are doing well. There is lots of flooding in many parts of Lisbon but especially, in the lower neighborhoods like Alcântara . We live in Palmela, in the countryside. We are fine. Nature is better at dealing with rain like this than city streets.
Sending love and ongoing dryness and safety your way! In Lagos, Algarve. Rainy, but have been blessed enough to avoid the terrifying floods.
Hey! So happy to come across your channel. Glad to know you're safe and doing well.
I'll be travelling to Lisbon this Thursday (15 Dec) for 2 days. Is it a still a good idea for me to visit?
🙏🙏🙏
Hi Joric, we live in Saldanha. We have experienced a lot of rain, but, not the flooding like other parts of the city. The tunnels on Av Republica and Campo Grande are closed but I was able to get to the airport to pick up our son and to park of nations to get my daughter at school (they were released early since many teachers and students could not get to school. Buses are behind due to road closures, etc. metro stations close to us are open. We have more family coming here to celebrate Christmas with us so we will have to adapt to the weather.
Have a great holiday in the US!
