Living on a HOMESTEAD IN CENTRAL PORTUGAL – FIRE LAWS and how they effect you.

When moving to Portugal there are lots of laws about using machinery that make sparks or can cause fires from exhausts, we show you where that information is available and how to understand the somewhat confusing information… LINKS BELOW.

Support our local Sapadores here, help give them some needed shade.

** ABOUT US **
We are an English family, Alex Molly and Sandra living the Portugal farm life.
This year will be our eighth year here so we have a lot to share.

Bringing you every aspect of our daily farm lives, including Molly and Alex cooking amazing meals in our old wood fired Portuguese bread oven and sharing our recipes with you, plus everything involved in running a working goat farm 🐐🐐🐐🐐.

Follow us as we renovate the buildings around our old bread oven and other buildings on the farm with natural materials, re-building and planting the vegetable patch after the fire destroyed it all.

Building the new goat barn and milking parlour🍼, our days with the goats, births and milking them.
Molly making soaps🛀🧴 and many types of cheeses🧀🧀 from our own goats milk.
Watch what we grow, daily farm life and chores, visiting local sites and showing you the local area.
Plus lots more……… and the milking goats!🐐🐐🐐

“Quinta” stands for ‘farm’ in Portuguese. “Fonte da Pipa” means “Source of the Barrel”

  4. Hello Alex , those are the general rules , but it was declared a state of ALERT until the 15 , so that changes the rule of working at night until 11:00 ……with only allows weedeaters with nylon , in my opinion should be banned, because 90% are combustion weedeaters. D.R (Diary of Repulic) Republic Diary No. 8329-A/2022, Series 2 of 2022-07-07 .Thanks for your videos!

  5. Helpful, thank you. Is it true that you can use strimmers at any time but you can't use bladed strimmers when the risk is very high or maximum?

I bought a Retro Excavator few days ago to dig tunnels for the sewage,
Does it mean I cannot use it when its a Maximum Day?
