  1. We used to get some rats visit our chicken run, but they didn't cause a problem. As long as you keep the sack of food somewhere inaccessible the rats never bothered our birds. It gave the cats something to hunt though.

  2. Exciting about the chickens! Tell Opal, Betty and Sweetpea they're gorgeous! Lovely home they have too (with a cool gate 😎)

    Happy belated birthday, Dom!

Look forward to more wafflings 😊. Take care!

  3. Fantastic. Happy birthday Dom. Another excellent addition to the Wildlands. Some very happy and well cared for chickens 🐓. Like your gate. Battery pack looks a good bit of kit. Stay well. All the very best to you all.
    Cheers. 👍🐾🐓🪴😎

  4. Awe…..so cozy and secured, love it! You have turned this wild land into a wonder land. Can't wait to see your first harvest on the fruit trees, veges and eggs 😋. And..and..birds sing in the morning, better than radio music can bring…hmm….so restful and peaceful. All these sound like "your first fruit", labor of love 💗💗💗. Job well done!

  5. Hazel ☘️ …
The run run is out of this world and I’m so glad you took safety precautions by burying the wire … I’ve over killed this in the past by burying an entire floor of mesh in their lock up section !
The chickens are lovely and I’m hopping you’ll enjoy the eggs 🥚 when they start to lay for you !
    🙏☘️😘

  6. I love the chooks! ❤🐓🐓🐓 Lovely ladies 😁. You've given them such a wonderful home, so much love and care, they must be the happiest chooks ever 👌. Love your latest rustic gate too Dom 👍

  7. Great work & precision, well done. Just discovered your vlog & love it. Thanks for sharing your family experiences.
B t.w. is there a perch in the chicken house? They love to sleep on them💖👍

  8. Well done again. You can give the chickens all your kitchen scraps except onions, garlic & the like or citrus. They will love it. They are much smarter than people realise. My chickens used to come running up to me when I went out to give them the leftover cat food. I also gave them a scattering of scratch mix seeds & shells and they had a feeder of pellet food in their coop. They will be very rewarding.

  9. Happy Birthday Dom! Hope you had a good one. The coop and chickens are so cool! I hope to get some chicks one day. Thanks for sharing. See you next time.

  11. Liked your video on the chickens ! I have corrugated iron sheets on my pen it helps when its raining to give the chooks a bit of dry ground to scratch when everything else is soaked !Nothing like fresh organic eggs !
