Love Islander Luca Bish has finally met Gemma Owen’s football icon father Michael, according to reports. Brighton fishmonger Luca, 23, is said to have been introduced to the former Newcastle United striker today– 10 days after leaving the Love Island villa with the 19-year-old on his arm.

Luca and Gemma are thought to have met ex-England player Owen, 42, at the family’s villa in Quinta Do Lago, Algarve, Portugal. Gemma’s beau, who has already been introduced to Gemma’s mum Louise when she came into the Love Island villa, was said to have been “nervous” to meet the football star.

Gemma and Luca are yet to become boyfriend and girlfriend – bucking the trend as the rest of the Islanders made their romances official – but a source has told The Sun: “Luca has been nervous about meeting Michael which is, of course, totally natural.
