India doesn't have dual citizenship, but the old citizens get special status (NRI) even if they give citizenship to get citizenship of a different country.
it's quite obvious. Western countries have lost a lot of people to COVID. As a result, they have relaxed their immigration rules to make up for the loss. The numbers will likely go up in the future because India continues to be the biggest benefiary of green cards. The numbers should skyrocket between 2025 to 2029.

Hope the politicians in India realise that these Indians could have contributed to India a lot more. But due to corruption that leads to poor quality of life, Indians are almost driven away from their motherland. Ease of living should be the focus of any political party. Quota system must end. And merit should be the only deciding factor.
Here in India we just fight on religion rather than development.
