  1. This video is somewhat oddly comforting…..

Millennial upcoming issues: aging parents who cease to work and have no assets, no home, no income– now that's the hidden issue that's going to implode the system.

  2. Problem is right when we save up enough to make a power move, a sudden shift happens that causes the costs of everything around it to spike in $$$. Unless you’re making 80k and above you can barely survive. Oh yeah and baby boomers are RUTHLESS.

  3. The unluckiest generation in modern history were those who were of conscription age or enslaved in 1914 and then again in 1939. No choice, straight to the front to be slaughtered. They never had to worry about student loans or housing, they were chosen for extermination. An entire generation of young men murdered or left with life changing injuries and mental torture. That cannot be beaten.

  4. Some of you are you forgetting how this unfolded.

Some of you think that young millennials were oblivious to the cost of college but just did it anyways on a whim.

But you were forgetting that one of the first things Bush did in 2001 was cut tons of funding for higher education.

My first Semester at a state school college was $1881. My last semester at the same school was $5400.

THEY RAISED IT ON US right in the middle of our degrees.

Also, my first year of college I was eligible for grants, interest free loans and very low interest loans because I was very low income having grown up on welfare and the first person to go to school in my family.

Those grants and interest free loans instantly vanished.

So no, I did not sign up for this. They pulled it on us.

  5. Now imagine being Millennial AND Minority from a lower income household. No help or parents to move back with. That’s the reality for many….The worse thing—-People assume EVERYONE is on the same playing field.

  6. I'm just now watching this in 2022, as someone on the younger end of being a millennial this hits hard. Gonna send this vid to both of my parents. Mom will probably not even bother nor care to watch, very boomer energy. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  7. Graduated college in 08'. Interned with an investment firm that went under. After that couldn't find anything so I went into sales. The money was great but the hours as stress levels sucked. Ended up getting very lucky having an "in" with a large financial company that was looking to hire fairly inexperienced employees. If it wasn't for that I am not sure where I would be today. The interest rates for student loans were ridiculous compared to prior generations. When the economy started to recover, most millennials did not have the money to purchase property that was extremely discounted due to foreclosures. The only people I know my age that are doing well for themselves either got lucky, or had been raised in households with enough financial backing to make it through.

  8. Unlucky? These kids don’t even struggle. They are obsessed with phantom problems like gender issues. There is a deep victimization mentality with every gen z person. Absolutely no personal responsibility but plenty of blame to pass around. Lower earnings? Get an education and a career that pays better. Unhappy? Do things that make you happy. Worst economic impact? My grandparents lived through the depression. I think this is a very melodramatic viewpoint. Young people – you must get and education or learn a trade and earn better wages. Move out of your parent’s homes. You and you alone are responsible for what you do with YOUR life. Do nothing and you’ll have nothing. There will always be bad times and good times and there will always be someone or something to blame for inaction and failure. Don’t let that happen. Work hard while you’re young and save every dollar. You can play later. Good Luck.

  9. I’m a Millennial (Born in 92). I graduated from an average public University, built a strong career by the time I was 25, bought my first house at 25, got married at 22. I feel exceptionally lucky. No idea what this is talking about

  10. Have a college degree but I still struggle to find a decent job. Always get the same response after applying: “sorry but we are looking for someone with more years of experience in (fill in the blank). Its a terrible catch 22 and I have no idea how to break out of it.

  11. I'm Burned out and been burned out since 2008. Financially my life is getting worse .
Boomers lives gotten easier and easier. Millinials lives are getting harder and harder. I'm a millinial male with adhd and I am tired! I can't keep up.
I don't ask for much, all I need is a studio apartment, used car, and cel, THATS IT!!! I don't need a fancy house, nice ride, or infinite hot girlfriends, im a introvert anyway. All I want is a simple quite life, but I can't even get that. My rent is going up every year, my car insurance doubles every 6 months, and price for basic needs are high.
I CAN'T EVEN LIVE A BASIC LIFE WITH OUT IT BEING F**KED UP! And I'm not a greedy person at all. I'm a strong advocate of the Maslow hierarchy of needs, ALL I NEED IS Physiological needs and Safety needs and I'll be happy, The belonging and esteem can wait. This society is too fast and demanding I can't keep up. I'm done! 😒

  12. And people still thinks capitalism as structure is till unquestionable. The system that functions only on perpetual growth where present burdens are pass on to the future generation but it rewards

  13. Millenials think there entitled. We knew we had to work for what we wanted. We took responsibility for our action. Yall blame everyone else, the system, your parents etc. Yall are so weak you're trying to make us into a socialist government!

  14. Oh please. Gen X had inflation ,recession. Gas shortages,NiHi,AIDS for go sakes. No programs for the poor to get into college. We were latch key kids. It took both Moms and Dads had to work.Minium wage was 2.80,3.35 n hour. We came out in the last part of Vietnam. We had the liberation of,Kuwait, Desert Storm Desert Shield. Afghanistan. Boomers had WW2,Polio,,Tuberculosis. Women had no rights, blacks and gays were being linched. Blacks protested the facts they had no rights. They had the Cuban missle crisis, A president assassinated, along with his brother.Bush lied to us about why we were in Iraq. Weapons of mass destruction. We had the had gas,and food shortages. Unemployment rate shot up because industry moved to 3rd world countries. Every Gen has it tough the only difference is. Boomers sent men to the moon,we created computers ,and started the technology that yall take for granted We were strong and tough. because women weren't teaching their children. They're predators, toxic masculinity, useless, good for supporting women while they offer nothing in return. Yall can't figure out if yall are men or women.

  15. Imagine paying a fuckto of money for an overstaffed branch of the job market and then suddenly a programmer or engineers are a dime a dozen while your artistic friend making handmade pottery is making money hand over fist. You know this because you programmed his online store.
