More Americans leaving the US amid cost of living, rising political divisiveness

Politics and cost of living are pushing Americans on both sides of the aisle to pack their bags. International Living reported a 1000% increase in web traffic after Roe Versus Wade was overturned. Meanwhile, the 2016 election of Donald Trump, George Floyd Protests and the COVID-19 Pandemic all significantly drove up clicks for “Where Can I Live?” a consulting business for people who need help with the logistics of moving to another country.

  1. The people in democrat run states are already suffering from crime, high tax and inflation and will deserve to suffer even more for another 2 years. Republican run states wont suffer much. Thats the truth
    😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

  2. I've been telling my friends that this was going to happen. I said people who are able to leave are increasingly going to start looking for a better place to live, but I mainly tied it to the violence. Life in America is crazy right now but most people are not getting the picture yet. In the next 10 to 20 years, the violence and craziness will be so bad that everybody will have gotten the picture. I started on my journey a couple years ago and I'll be gone more or less permanently by February. But then, I never had any ideas about an American dream and was never comfortable in America.

  3. I was shocked to see some of the prices of real estate in some foreign countries (including Thailand) because of the increase of expats (not just from America). They were showing homes in Thailand, that really weren't that great for $150,000 USD, and apartments for $1000 a month. Even in areas in capital of Cambodia, one foreigner was saying how cheap it was, but paying $900 a month in rent. There is no way I would want to live in Cambodia with 100 degree weather and other negatives of being a foreigner living in a third world country, and pay anywhere near $900 a month in rent, I don't care what the apartment amenities include. There are still a lot of places in the United States where you can rent for $1000 a month or less (and no I am not talking about the high crime areas of a major city, you can just Google it.)

  4. Hmmmm. Some may say we are cowardly but fighting all these school shooting gun violence crime corruption graft fraud political partisanship if not hatred racism of anyone not white is hateful. Why not leave?

  5. It may very well be economically convenient, politically prudent, and psychologically wise to move to another country, but understand this: there is a reason why people from those other countries you're contemplating moving to, are also trying to move to the U.S.
Even in the East, countries have been trying to mirror the so-called American way and dream since WWll, and where you're moving to in an effort to flee from the decline of the U.S. could very well be a U.S.A. Lite….and then you're right back where you started. Ask the migrant Californians about Texas and Arizona. Better yet, ask the native Texans and Californians…

  6. I mean let’s be real this country is only good to make money and freedom the freedom to speech because you see things that are going on today that will get you canceled but this country is really only good for freedom and making money as far as Raising a family and not bringing this is not the place I’m from3rd. World country things are good here people are so much more family in other countries safer cheaper

  7. It’s so much cheaper in other countries my parents just left to go to Brazil for six months everything is so much cheaper the food cost of living to do things and the food is all organic a lot better than here. It’s crazy how expensive things are here

  8. It’s interesting how these Americans are likely the same who try to spearhead immigration and diversity in America. Now they’re becoming the immigrants… interesting

  9. Sure no problem with Americans moving abroad, seeing how divided the country seems to be, hope they don't bring their WS culture with them, already some countries are closing the doors to easy entry for Americans because wherever Americans go the prices go up as well much to the dismay of the local population, Expat communities are not what they seem, they tend to create a ,"we and them" situation if they don't assimilate in the society.
The bottom line is try and learn the local language, it's very rewarding.
