Moved Abroad to Portugal from the USA – Starting a New Life, Misses | It'll Be fun

How hard is it to move abroad, retire, start a new life? Today we talk about the small things we miss. Since we really do not have any big ones. We hope some of the things will make you smile.

Our walk today is on the boardwalk from Praia Formosa beach to Camara de Lobos. This is about a 2 mile easy walk which ends in the lovely town of Camara de Lobos. Where we meet up with friends.

About us we are expats from the USA and have moved to the beautiful Island of Madeira in Portugal. We are very grateful to have this opportunity. We have put together this channel to talk about our journey. As you will see we have no clue what we are doing and hope you will ask questions about our journey, provide positive advise and support us along the way.

Please subscribe, like and let the videos run! Help us grow and get better.

Have more questions you can send us an email at Itllbefunretirement@gmail.com.

Mantra
I’ll be Fun, Greer.
We are on an Island in the middle of the ocean off the coast of Morocco!
It doesn’t suck.

We love the United States and are of course addicted to American brands.
How does one live without Crystal light, Oreos and Nathan’s Hot dogs?
And big American Breakfasts! You know sausage and biscuits, gravy, bacon, eggs, hash browns smothered, and covered, french toast, pancakes, waffles, grits, etc.

We also love Portugal with fresh seafood, olives, fruits and vegetables, etc.
Come along and join us.

The Man, the Myth, the Dude…

Are you moving to Portugal or Madeira Portugal? Then this is the channel for you. We are living in Portugal as expats. We hope you enjoy our content.

  1. I feel the same way here in South Carolina, I don't know what the illegal immigrants here are saying behind my back in line at the stores. Should have taken Spanish in high school I guess. I hope to see you guys in 3 years when I start my early retirement at 55 there as well. Thanks for the videos.

  2. Hi Leslie and Alan 👋 Really enjoyed your video! Bananas from your yard? Woweeee! Had to laugh at the " no disposals" Once again the scenery is beautiful. Love the water. Thanks for sharing! Happy Easter 🐇💜💚

  3. Great video! I've been to Madeira back in 2018 and I so wanted to move there! But we are stuck in Washington state. So happy to go along with you both on this present journey! Iam a gardener and I loved all the plants there! And yes …sardines and scabards!

  4. I really don't mean to be rude as I enjoy your videos. It's interesting however how you call yourselves expats instead of immigrants that you are. There's no shame in being an immigrant. And no maple syrup? Really?
