Good Afternoon Friends!

Hope everyone is doing well. As you are planning your move to Portugal, I know finding the perfect rental is extremely challenging (especially from abroad). Also, I know finding a house rental right now is nearly impossible due to the high demand and low inventory, but rest assured, I am now seeing more rentals available.

I wanted to give you guys a house tour of my former rental. Like you, it was super hard for us to find a long term rental while living in America. Also, for us, it was hard signing a lease without even seeing the place in person. When we moved, we lived in an Airbnb for nearly 3 months! Luckily, we were able to view this townhouse in person and signed the lease almost immediately. It was the perfect starter house for us.

This townhouse is located in Foz do Arelho and is in the most perfect location. The town center is roughly a 1-2 minute walk and the beach is 10 minutes away (by foot). My children loved living in the area due to its walkability and how child friendly it is.

The house came fully furnished (minus linens) and we paid 1250 euros a month. Part of the rental price came an allocated amount towards utilities. With the 5 of us, we always exceeded our utilities and had to pay and extra 100 euros a month.

Some may say that it was on the higher end of the going rental market prices….what do you think? Comment below 🙂
