  1. My husband and I were just discussing yesterday about finding a good place for Piri Piri Chicken (we moved here in January) so we laughed when we saw you had this new video. We took your advice and went to Churrasqueira do Matques today and loved it! We were planning to spend the afternoon in Belem so this was the perfect choice. Thank you! We will definitely be trying the others as well. Any local suggestions for the chorizo that is served over fire?

  2. Joric… one off topic question….while we loved almost everything about Lisbon n Porto … the two places we visited in Portugal…. The ATMs seemed to be ruthless in extracting money through a very poor exchange rate. When we were visiting $1=.98 Euro… but none of the ATMs would give us more than.85 Euro for the dollar plus the 3.90 surcharge for using the machine. Is there any remedy to that? I bank with citi bank and they don’t operate in Lisbon.

  3. We were there last week, wish we had this list by then. But that’s okay. We had Piri Piri chicken at Bonjardim. The price was cheaper than Peruvian chicken prices I pay in Virginia and half the price of Nando’s. I liked it, but my son who likes Nando’s a lot thought it was not better than Nando’s as Nando’s smothers the chicken in a lot more sauce than Bonjardim. To each his own…

  4. It has been over 35 years that we spent any time in Lisbon. We loved what at that time was called cheap chicken, I am guessing that is peri-peri chicken today. is their anything close to the Tivoli Oriente Hotel ?
