You ever go to Porto Santo
Is another island next to Madeira is beautiful also
Whit 9 kilometers of sandy beaches
Thanks for another great video! If I may ask, how old is your son, and is he pursuing a career while living with you in Madeira?
Hi Alan,
Boom Dia. Tudo Bem?
Oi! Have you finished your walking journey through Madeira?⌛
How was it? Is everyone licking their wounds?
A big hug
Tchau👋
Cheers

Hi Alan great video the gardens are beautiful does Madeira gets a good amount of rain per year?
Everything it's so lush and beautiful
Good choice of a place for retirement , I hope one day do the same
Wonderful video Alan. Thanks for creating it and sharing. I appreciated your tips on meeting people using Facebook and YouTube. Does your son Wolf have the same success meeting young people?
Great video, keep up the good work, all the best.
If I relocate to Madeira, the first thing I will need is a bed.
Where could I buy one and what are the prices like?
What about a fridge, a washing machine and a wardrobe?
Can I suggest that you make a video about buying the basics for an empty property.
Good luck with the rest of your island walk!
These are all gardens you can enjoy for free.
É sempre bom passear convosco 😊
Looking forward to meeting you when i move there in 2023,
Love it guys!
Thank You to Our American Ambassador in Madeira Island, Mr. Alan G., for great videos and service to our beautiful homeland – Madeira.💯

Hi Alan & Family. Thanks for the beautiful video. Madeira is so beautiful; wise choice you made. Wonder how your son is adapting? Is he planning on going to school? Since he is a younger generation, I wonder if Madeira interests him as well to stay for a while, learn the language, go to school, etc. Your Portuguese is always evolving, b4 u know it, you will be fluent. You guys stay well. 🙏👍🤗❤️🇵🇹❤️
Ola, Alan,
Oi! Tudo bem?
Como vai a vossa caminhada pela Madeira?
How is your walking going through Madeira?
Yes, You are a retiree and yes you can finally stop and smell the flowers (Don't they smell nice?).
I agree with you, you have to create a new social circle because we can't live alone… Humans are social creatures…
It is easy to start a conversation with the fellows next to you… They are in the same boat… Once you break the ice… You can be assured you may form a new friendship. On the other hand, in larger countries/cities, everybody is rushing to go from point A to point B and so preoccupied with their lives that they do not have time to live…
Once upon a time, in Madeira, people would stop to smell the flowers and had a chit chat with their neighbours or even strangers…
I am very proud of you… Your Portuguese is getting better by day. Continue to practice and watch TV especially the News and/or the Telenovelas (soap opera). Not for its content but to practice the conversation… I did it when I came to Canada. I spoke several languages but had a hard time to understand people Later, I realized that there were too many different accents and cultures… My first neighbour was a very Nice Mature Italian man. He spoke Italoglish (mix of Italian and English) and I could speak Italian and from there on we spoke only in Italian… Shortly after, we moved to an area that most people were of Eastern Europe culture. They did not speak with anybody. They seemed rude but it was they kept to themselves (Yes, you will find them living in Madeira after the construction of highway (Via Rapida)…
Today is easier to meet people online… but also there are scammers…
Have a continued safe journey in Madeira and do stop to smell the flowers…
Great work.
A big hug
Tchau (Bye from the Italian Ciao. Ci in Italian sounds like Tch + ao)
Cheers

Hello Allen and thank you for another lovely video! This is a silly question but how does one get back and forth from the island of Madeira to the mainland?
Thank you for the wonderful tour of some of the gardens there. Fantastic plants and trees. The eight day walking the island should be a real treat! Living there seems lik3 so much fun and learning. It's been a great video! Thanks!
I like your videos, Alan. They are friendly and calm 🙂 Did your car arrive yet? It would be nice if you make a video of it.
