This is a map of Iceland, the small island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Iceland is the Land of Fire and Ice. It seems like a different world. #iceland is one of the world’s youngest landmasses, and as a result, it is home to some of the world’s most active volcanoes. Iceland is Europe’s least populous country. Almost 80% of the nation is uninhabited, and most of its geography comprises plateaux, mountain ranges, and fertile lowlands. There are several long, deep fjords and glaciers, including Vatnajökull, Europe’s most significant. The landscape changes after every bend. Iceland may be the last place on Earth that was settled by human beings not more than 1100 years ago. To this day, several terrifying discoveries are still being made by scientists.

I would love to visit there.
Visited in June, just spectacular. Can’t wait to go back.
Volatile, an Beautiful..
What a crock of horseshit!
I would move to Iceland in a heartbeat
I think the earth is a fantastic discovery waiting to happen
Yes, as a listener, I am terrified to learn that there may or may not be some sunken land around Iceland! I say we start bombing Iceland tomorrow!
Fascinating , not slightly terrifying.
I like the idea of Iceland might have been part of a larger land mass. Kind of like Doggerland, which became covered by the ocean when our last glacial extension ended some 14,000 years ago, and melting began: with just one result being the isolation of the British Isles from Europe. However, being a scientist myself (Curator of Paleontology), I see no reason why scientists should be afraid of new discoveries. In fact. that's part of what science is about.

100 million years ago there was no ice because of global warming FJB
Pangea never existed. Dont @me
a continent under Iceland. Iceland is the youngest island on Earth, it's the cap on a puncture hole from an asteroid collision 12500 years ago, it's still a hot spot with a direct connection to the mantle. they need to coordinate the eruptions of the various volcanoes to the positions of the planets in seasonal arrangements. patterns
I biked and camped all around Iceland in 1982. I wish I'd had this info then!
I saw a lot of these when I went in 2000.
My theory is this , that life has lived and died several times over billions of years.
The oceans rise and drown everything then the world freezes and melts, as it melts new life begins-super simple.
Each time something different .
@ 2:58; …….."400,000 sq. m., that is a larger region than Australia" No it isn't, Australia is 2,968,000 sq. m., in point of fact.
Maybe by go thru' underground tunnel or caves, human can travel across oceans beneath it.
Scientists find only scarry stuff on earth and up there in the sky. And they do experiment on human and animal, and have a lot of theories.
Icelandic geography is fascinating.
Iceland, the only country where inbreeding is more popular than literacy 🙂
I'm Icelandic and know all these places, I'm also a seasoned traveller and I hope I don't make mincemeat of the names of the places I travel to as you do here. You pronouncing of names are really really dreadful, I'm sure you can do much better.
Iceland can be scary if you are not dressed for the weather. Or prepared to pay huge prices for food. The beef jerky is good there. Try the seabirds or the Svið. Don't be scared.
Pretty cool

The only terrifying thing in Iceland is Muslim immigrants !
I find it very hard to believe the information in this video based on having lived there and having studied Icelandic history as well as geology. I do think this video does a great job of showing off Iceland’s beauty.
the map of Australia leaves off Tasmania. This is a part of Australia as sure as Kentucky is a part of the US. The area is about 26000 sq miles and only a bit smaller than Iceland! Tassie is bigger than:
41,285 km² – Switzerland
2,586 km² – Luxembourg
30,689 km² – Belgium
And… Sri Lanka, Lithuania, Latvia, Togo, Denmark, the Netherlands, Croatia, Taiwan, Israel, and lots of other countries.
It's History people….
