The new Corolla benefits from Toyota’s latest digital and multimedia features, developed for an improved user experience and future-proof: new features and upgrades can be easily installed with over-the-air updates.

The enlarged, 10.5-inch multimedia display offers high-resolution graphics and is easy to read in all lighting conditions thanks to the anti-reflective screen. Starting with the Comfort trim level, the central instrument cluster is a 12.3-inch display that can be programmed by the driver according to personal preference in four modes: Casual, Smart, Sport and Touch.

Every Corolla comes with four-year access to Toyota Smart Connect or Toyota Smart Connect+ (depending on model version); this means access to “always on” cloud navigation and real-time traffic and travel information.

A new “Voice Agent” is also available, which understands speech input in natural conversational language and uses it to make multimedia settings or carry out vehicle functions such as opening or closing windows.

A range of remote services are available through MyT App; This allows the doors to be locked and unlocked via the smartphone, the air conditioning to be set and the car to be preheated or cooled, or the emergency flashers to be activated to find the parked car more easily.

The new Corolla is equipped with Toyota T-Mate, which combines the latest generation of the Toyota Safety Sense Package with other active driving and parking assistance systems. All systems together not only make driving easier and safer, but also serve to protect all vehicle occupants and other road users.

The improvements in the operation and functionality of the systems include: acceleration suppression if the accelerator pedal is suddenly pressed at low speed; Pre-collision function when turning at intersections; Emergency steering assistant for avoiding oncoming traffic; Side collision avoidance and cornering speed reduction. Over-the-air software updates keep features current and allow new features to be added throughout the life of the vehicle.

Toyota T-Mate also includes a Safe Exit System: If a vehicle or bicycle approaches from behind when you intend to open a door, an alarm is triggered. In addition, a rear seat reminder reminds you when you get out of the car to check that nothing and nobody has been forgotten in the back seats.
