Can you take out the concrete and build the floors with wood? It isn't that large of a space and I think it would be a better fix than trusting the weight and cracking concrete…??? Just an opinion…

The fence is probably to keep animals out. Maybe stray cats? I live in Spain I always put my telephone number on the address it helps. you know im portuguese im sick and tired of these wildfires every single year, gov, is useless, but you should make a complaint to the local camara that the fire menaced your farm your house and possibly your life and that your want action taken on it, force them to create some mechanism because next year it might be you.

Just a thought, we use Amazon Spain which has a translate to English option. Do not know if there is a cafe within reasonable distance of you and if so get to know them and ask if you can have items delivered to them. I find the local Portuguese people to be so helpful. Out of level bathroom. You could use it to benefit: put floor drain in the corner. Here in Nordic we have drains in every toilet and bathroom and utility rooms floors too.

Hi Jinny, I can relate to how you were feeling, we moved toPortugal just coming up to 1 year now and it has been great. However, there have been a few moments,again trivial things just tip you over and I have had a few moments myself😀😀😀Not sure if you know but Amazon Spain will deliver here in Portugal, they do not deliver as quick as Amazon Prime in the UK but it does normally take about 5-6 days. The office is looking good.

It's early days yet but you are making it homey and livable. It took me years to bring my farmhouse up to standard whilst still keeping it in the traditional style. I swear my place fought me tooth and nail when it was being repaired and updated.
I sincerely hope the fires keep away from you all, it must be a worry.
