  1. I love it. The rustic history in your house is beautiful. You are doing a great job. Also, the watering holes are great! As you guys say, CRACK ON! I hope you will cook some food for us soon to see what you guys eat.

  2. Thanks for the tour of the water holes, just what you need with your current heatwave. Your property is really looking nice.. A coat of paint makes all the difference. You have a good size garden continue developing it and I think it will be really beautiful.

  3. A fresh coat of paint with proper prep work done makes an infinately better environment that affects how you feel on a daily basis. Well done! And that swimming hole is divine! Portugal does their swimming holes/pools very well. Very nice way to care for the residents during the hot, hot summers. Can you treat the floor boards with worm worm treatment so they are not longer live? I'd be afraid my furniture would become infested and destroyed. As to the ceiling, I would be very tempted to lay it over the joists in the attic to give a bit more head room to your living spaces and allow easy access and storage in the attic. You would have a nice feature of expose beams in the living spaces as a feature too. Oh, and I love the soft green blue color you are using on the woodwork.

  5. But why you need so many doors ? If you fix the entrance/exterior door, you can get rid of the saggy red door n the kitchen door, only bedrooms and bathroom are neccesary, I think

  6. Im thinking, I live in Spain and we do gave these specialised paint shops. As Spain is EU, you can take them with you to Portugal. Maybe you can order online? If they have a website you can make inquiries in English or with Google translate. If you need any assistance give me a shout I could ask some shops here.

  7. Living in the US and having screens on windows – I just don't see how hot and mild climates do it with open windows. Between the bugs, birds and snakes – you all are very daring!! Nice to get a net up I'm sure!! Love your channel you two!

  8. I enjoyed your video, how you switched back & forth between the swimming holes & the lounge. Your lounge is really improving. I do like the rustic elements of it & the fresh paint makes it look loved & cared for. Are you planning to treat for wormwood?

Had a Reno in wagga Aussie same dust and rat excrement 100 years I got in and vacuumed the front rooms cavity until the major Reno where we plastered the lot the foam expander made me laugh as a neighbour used it to fill his toilet roof cavity it life’s the nailed tin off completely 15 cm above the rafters , paint and furniture makes it look clean and smart when all was removed for the major Reno the builders said to the head builder “ Jesus did people live here” lol you will get there it’s my native name for it the chip away tribe 👍❤️❤️❤️🙏ps hard to hear your voice when scraping etc

  13. The house is looking fabulous Zac .. love the colour of the trim/white walls ..the old double doors look great painted the same colour … The" watering holes" are a wonderful find .Im envious living in Wyoming USA nothing like that here ..tempertures have been up in the high 30sCel ..The good old Yellow Pages ..we have them in New Zealand also .. Could always 'ring up and find out what you needed to know..' let your fingers do the walking as they used to say .. now its all online for any information ..Aint technology grand !! Not 🤣🤣

  14. Livingroom looking so smart! Enjoyed your prep and decorating interspersed with river beaches. Liked the last one the best, too, could imagine myself backstroking to work out these fkabby limbs 😁. If you evervget footage of Tedster frolicking in the water that'd also be a joy to watch. Living in Portugal– you're doing it right❣ 🤗

  15. Beautiful spots to swim.
Looks good with a fresh coat of paint. I love all the trim, ceiling and doors. So full of character. The teal paint is more traditional and does have charm but sadly the doors needed paint. What you can do if you decide to fix the hinges is make some small dowels of wood and insert with wood glue into the holes left from the nails or screws. Let dry and put in new screws and they should hang solid again. I would suggest you treat all the wood for wood worm and maybe just patch up the more damaged part of the floors with same type of wood(hopefully just as old). I agree the wood floor is so charming and is part of the appeal of your home.
