Loved the progress , sorry Andrea isn't back, I also have a bad reaction to anaesthetic but turns out it wasn't the anaesthetic it was the morphine/opiates they use to kill the pain and stop the patient waking up during the operation – I am now red banded (allergic) for all opiates from codeine upwards. The symptoms sound the same.

To save the hive with no queen, you can try to buy and introduce a Virgin queen to a local producer, it costs about 4-5 euros.

Well done Nick getting things done for Andrea’s return home. Andrea having had my hip replacement Sept 21 at 51 years do your exercises every day ! Follow the rules they tell you to follow. The hardest is trying to sleep ! The advice I had to follow was to get out of the bed the side that was operated on. Get a nice form chair to sit in too ! Hope this helps. How do you go about medical in Portugal do you have insurance or just pay for when you use it and do you have any repeat prescription from the UK do they transfer them over to Portugal do you know how that works.

Sometimes the sickness is low blood after surgery ( lack of oxygen circulation). But I found that oxygen helped me A LOT.

My wife reacts very strongly to opiates. Some painkillers contain opiates. She gets a breathing depression. For her it is like she is suffocating.
Anne's symptoms are different but it could very well be that Anne is reacting to some medication.
