NO “DAMP” house in Portugal? Renovations in a Secret Castle Town in a Historical House (new inside).

Enjoy a new video about Castro Marim (which is one of the best-kept secrets of the Eastern Algarve). This medieval town boasts a castle where the Knights Templars hid out while the powers that be wanted them gone (or wanted their money). The Portuguese King protected them by sending them on a vacation to the Algarve where they eventually “disbanded” only to re-emerge as the newly branded “Örder of Christ”.

This show has three parts, part one covers old homes restored from the outside but brand new inside. With total new construction, the developer explains how he “beats the damp” which is a concern for people moving to Portugal who has heard about dampness and mold.

Take a sneak peek into these homes which are already sold (except for the last one), it has offers on it but the developer agreed to keep it open to my agent until Wednesday, November 9th.

For more information on Castro Marim, enjoy this video with Cindy and me as we bike around the castle, town and preserves of Castro Marim.

  1. Another great informational video Veronica. I have wonderful memories of Castro Marim and riding bikes throughout the town. The builder did a great job using windows and skylights to get the most light into those spaces. Also, very good to see Raquel, she is wonderful too. Can't wait to see more.

  2. I'm totally in love with the plans for that last unfinished property! Wow, I wish I was in a position to move there now! BTW, did he mention the expected price when that one is completed?

    Thanks for all your videos!
