Russia’s invasion of Ukraine prompted an exodus of nearly 4 million people and an outpouring of support for many of the refugees. But a new report finds dozens of nonwhite people who fled Ukraine are being held in long-term detention centers in Poland and Estonia. We speak with Maud Jullien, investigations editor at Lighthouse Reports, which just published a series of reports in collaboration with The Independent, Der Spiegel, Radio France and others on the detention of African students fleeing Ukraine. She describes how the European Union’s temporary protection directive sets a double standard by permitting the safe entry of Ukrainian citizens into neighboring countries while withholding protection to third-party nationals escaping the same conflict.

Why are the International students still in Poland, their countries should've made arrangements to return them to their home countries. That's their responsibility, they made arrangements to send them to Ukraine. Doesn't Poland have enough issues to resolve, those students families need to step up and do the right thing.
1. Black people as a whole need to realise that former colonial powers lomw Ukraine will never see value in a black life unless it is to serve them and to die defending them.
2. Black states must do whatever in their power to retrieve their people.
3. Russia not once has colonial ties. Interrogate the truth here. The sympathy model punted by former and current colonial countries is just evident that am agenda is being pushed.
4. Ukrainians are racist. That PeaceCorp recruitment revealed more truths for Black people.

This doesnt make sense. If youre non white most likely in this specific case as an immigrant in Ukraine, youre mostly likely not European, and therefore have to be processed. Whilst "whites" or Europeans wouldnt because theyre in Europe and have the ability to reside.
