Beijinos e abraços,
Carissa, Iwan, Frankie & Albi

Carissa, Iwan & Frankie decided one night over a bottle of wine that moving from North Wales to Portugal would be a good idea. Within a month they were on the road to Portugal to find the perfect piece of land to call their new home. We picked up Albi the cat along the way. Subscribe to follow our journey as we turn an old stone barn into our home, and learn the ropes of looking after a piece of land to make an abundant garden and one day, our very own winery.

  1. Fighting 7.5% inflation (more like 15%) with a 1% fed funds interest rate is like stopping a Forest fire with a bucket of water. Folks prepare accordingly. Make investment in other not to depend on the government for funds

  2. Garden looks great (I’ll just ignore the weeds. 😀) You have a nice variety there and, considering it’s really only your second year, I think the soil looks good. Like you said, it’ll just get better and better – especially doing that chop and drop of the ground cover.

  3. Great review Carissa, it is such a benefit when small holders have experienced Alotment life 🤣 Too hot for my Lime..leaves turned yellow 🇯🇲🌅

  4. I think the weeds take out all the nutrients, so your veggies have nothing to grow on… And it is still very early in the year…
Must be a struggle to win from the weeds…

  5. Hi Carissa,
As always, love your garden update/tours! If you’re able, include an update on the chickens and egg production in your garden videos. Maybe even save clips of meals from the garden and add them as b-roll. ☺️

  6. Don't know how you know what everything growing is, I don't have a clue what certain plants look like lol. Just been watching Kylie and Guy of Make,Do,Grow making beds with rustic logs…looks good. You certainly do have an abundance of veg growing…Well done to you. Have a good week xxxx

  7. If you don't already have, maybe chives & garlic chives for your kitchen garden. Easy to grow once established & SO good to add quick freshness to scrambled eggs, sandwiches, soups, etc. Love your garden tours- inspiring to see yours progress.

  8. How’s that new mic coming on…..get one of those one’s which is suitable for outdoor voice overs …..they kind of have a ferret look to them…..crowdfund it may be an option ?
