We are back after a long break. A little update from the farm and a small rant on the Portugal housing market currently.
In 2020, Neil, Roxana and their son, Alex, bought a small off-grid farm in Alentejo, Portugal with the aim of spending only part of the year there.
Join them on what will be an interesting journey as they try and navigate a part time life, off-grid in Alentejo, Portugal.

Hard to hear everything because of the wind….but could it be like to switch cables (red and black) so when it instead of ON=closed is ON= open?…sometimes the simple stuff is the hard ones!..Thank you for your videos and hope to see more from you! greeetings from Sweden
note… pine trees don't drop rubbish… they drop a layer that slowly decompose and FEED those trees + it helps holding moisture… which prevents the DEAD soil you see where your friend plowed the field… it's a sad practice done for misunderstood reasons… "fire risk" but all they do is dry out the soil, then kill the soil since it is exposed to the sun instead of being covered by crops, when you kill the soil it doesn't hold any moisture and tadaa FIRE RISK… so they create their own fire problems.
Hundreds of barns in the UK have been changed to human habitations. Don't see there is a difference.
very dry part of the country.
