We take a trip into Oliveira do Hospital in Central Portugal to see what the local town has to offer. We are house sitting 4 lovely pets in an off-grid quinta and needed to go and buy supplies so we thought we’d show you around Oliveira on a wet, December morning.
Oliveira do Hospital is the gateway to Portugal’s beautiful Serra do Estrela mountain range and the region is becoming popular with ex-pats who make the most of the affordable house and land prices and set up the idyllic lifestyle of off grid living here.
