I renovate houses all the time Jasper. I often get second hand Upvc doors and windows off Facebook, eBay and gumtree in Uk.sometimes they are free to collect. Why don’t you look on Portuguese equivalent instead of fitting a new expensive one.?

Cute peekaboo window. A thought: Why not rebuild it as it was originally, with the wooden shutters and the diamond frame which makes the view look interesting. Is it necessary to have glass? Some heavy curtains behind the wooden shutters would keep the temp. warm in winter. The cat was inspecting your work and gave its approval. Keep on keep on, Jasper.
Too much talk not enough work. I want to see how far you can go ruining this land. Really it's so difficult to watch. 5 minutes worth of footage at best stretched out for 20 minutes . 😴
Just a thought, wouldn't it be better to go up from the bottom on the window instead of down from the top?
The view will be better if the top remains where it is.
