We are so close to getting the new roof on. It’s hot, it’s hard work, but so very close.
This old abandoned, run down house was in such a state. So much work is needed yet we know in a very short space of time, this eyesore will transform into a beautiful home as it truly deserves.

Wow, major skills and what a project. Look forward to following along. 😎

nice one fella gotng well
You are courageous and hard working lad. Quick question, are you selling this property after finishing?
Where are your ear-plugs?
10:30 You've got to bring a beach umbrella to the work site, it will help you a lot with a little bit of shade.
I've lived under all those hot days for the last 48 years and I really understand what you've gone through under that sun…
1:35 This is something I love on your channel: You show us the REAL thing. You show us what went wrong and what needs to be done in order to solve the problem.
That makes total difference! You show us what most of other people also go through (but don't show us).
And in the end you still have got all that energy and positivism.
Man, I really love your videos.
Obrigado.
Outstanding video Andy. Good on ya for listening to your body. For no construction background, you're doing very good at figuring this stuff out… no rush, you've got this!!
You are absolutely right Andrew, listen to those signals…every time I have ignored them, injuries or mistakes have resulted…This is certainly the tedious part but again, coming from Quebec where most construction is wood, I find it fascinating to watch you crack on with bricks and mortar…and ciment. Once you get the roof on the world will change significantly! I am looking forward to seeing how you secure the roof joists/beams. Can’t wait to see the next video. Thanks again for letting me live vicariously through your labours of love!
Been waiting for this video, I'm intrigued by all the little bits of masonry work & how you make use of what you have. I think the dogs had the right idea…a swim!
bucket of water dip bricks in before laying
You could easily gain one more row of glass bricks and have a bigger window opening. There was ample space over it before reaching the roof line. You could just pour the cement lintel in place of one line of the large bricks over it…😉
Looking good Andy, still plenty to do, and like you say, it's always the prep work that takes the time, especially if it's something you haven't done before.
Gonna look great when it's all done though
it 's gona be awesome! bravo!!
Ear protection please as to prevent tinnitus / ear damage. These angle grinder/cutters are bad.
Stay Well Andrew. Living your life at your speed. Way to go i reckon.
One day at a time I always say….take care you guys are doing gr8…
Going well
Andy your work ethic is beyond reproach, the love and care you put into every aspect of this build is evident in your videos. I keep thinking could you hoist the cement mixer up to the area you're working on to obviate the bucket runs ? ..I'm sure you will have a good answer for me…
Would like to see you invest in a more robust set of step ladders, but loving the videos.
Trying to figure out why I couldn't hear anything you said. Perhaps the volume control at your end went haywire. I couldn't even lip read… that's so sad to not hear anything even with my head set on high volume….better luck next time I hope. It's looking real nice love the artistic flare you have.
Great Move, Andy. Always listen to your body. Ignoring those body messages can set you back weeks in fact. You accompanied so much in that heat. You’re so amazing.
Love your work style ! Enjoyed todays video! ❤️
Love the "eyebrow" window. Are you tailoring the finished house towards the Portuguese or Ex-Pat market? Different amenities? Your neighbor has embraced solar — are you thinking that also? I so look forward to your updates :o)
I like the new music.
