Awww what a beautiful video, made my partner and I very emotional tbh. We ourselves are in the process of planning to move over to Portugal, but still have commitments here in the UK it's interesting to know that others feel the same as we ourselves do about life in the UK as we feel the same way, my partner and I often say we feel like aliens in this country and want to move to a place that suits us more. there is that fear of upending our whole lives and starting over in another country but knowing that others feel the same way and doing it is inspirational. Thank you for sharing.

Hi guys! Good stuff to hear your enjoyed your first year in Portugal. I’m a Portuguese that lived in the UK for past 15y but now looking into returning for a simpler life. Living in a similar context to yours and having a small but nice network of friends is everything I need to be fulfilled.

Just a quick comment regarding a previous video: you might reconsider the choice of raspberries on your swale. They are so invasive! Within one or two years they’ll starting sending shoots everywhere around that area which might defeat the purpose of your design.

Give up the comfort of a modern house in a city and leaving all behind is not easy (we are in the middle of that process too… We are moving out in March next year)… However when your heart is calling, you better answer it.
