The horror of war needs to remain front and center so that people cannot hide from the reality. This also is making me ashamed to be an American. So many counties and people are putting everything they have to care for these refugees; including opening their homes, expediting visa's and agreeing to take in large numbers of refugees but where is the US? Ireland, a country much smaller than most American states is taking in 100,000 refuges but from the Biden administration not one utterance other than providing money. This is a travesty as this and other wars are crimes against humanity. The world needs to put pressure on the Biden administration to take in refugees. Hold them accountable, shame them as necessary. There are at least several hundred thousand of us who would gladly open our homes as we have opened our hearts to these refugees. Common reporters and editors. Keep asking this question and don't let the administration duck the question.

My beautifulson will soon be 11. So as a mother I am weeping knowing that they must all just want to be together and safe. The mom must be a special woman to raise exceptional children that faced adversity with hope 💕
