You're extracting water from the ground that would otherwise sustain these trees and other non-watered plants. You need to harvest more water from areas that don't support the trees you want to harvest.

I have made wine from raisins. It was okay but not as good as from frozen grape juice.

Did the shriveled up grapes turn into raisins? Isn’t that how you make raisins?
