I'm a decorator and pliolite is fine just bang a second coat on it and it will look awesome, just make sure it isn't lime render as you would need a limewash to allow it to breathe. Step treads you'll need some oil based floor paint 😉
If it rubberizes you may have a problem… Those walls, built with those materials need to "breathe"… We have a paint that is derived from limestone we call "Cal" which is suitable for those applications and also the reason why most old houses in Portugal are white.
Great job guys 👍 the house now looks lived in and cared for as opposed to abandoned and neglected. Maybe some nice tiles on the steps in the future would look good?
