Paula MacArthur (b. 1967) is a painter living and working in Kent, UK.

“I see my work as a contemporary interpretation of traditional memento mori & vanitas painting. The resulting paintings describe objects which are somehow familiar but unnameable; stripped back to the essentials the image partially disassociates from the original object and opens up to allow new associations and interpretations which can perhaps reveal as much about the viewer’s inner world and my own as the artist. ”

PADA is an Art Residency & Gallery based in a post-industrial site near Lisbon, Portugal.
