From 7 January 2022, fully vaccinated students and passengers will have a more easy and facile entry to the UK. They are no longer required to test before boarding their flights, and from 9 January 2022, they can choose for a rapid lateral flow test in place of a PCR test on day two.

Boris Johnson, the UK Prime Minister stated that, “The pre-departure test daunts many international students from travelling for fear of being stuck overseas and suffering considerable extra expense,” together with no solid proof that passenger testing upon entry to the UK works, it is also apprehended the sector’s salvage.
