I spent 4 days at the Pestana Carlton Madeira Hotel in January 2021.
The weather was changeable and the sea was stormy, so I chose a 5-star hotel with two indoor and two outdoor pools.
The Pestana Carlton Madeira Hotel is located in Funchal, next to the Santa Catarina Park.
The hotel has its own garden and mini golf course. The pool water was cool, but we were able to swim in sunny weather.
For this family room I paid €102 per night.
Breakfast was too basic for a 5 star hotel.
