  1. Change always seems to come with its own set of battles, however, you both seem to be handling it like seasoned travelers! Fingers crossed for your next videos reveal. So exciting to be following along.

  2. Good to see your final days in the UK and the hiccups that you experienced. It all comes good in the end as we know from your earlier vlogs. On the understanding that Ginny is so well prepared when it comes to planning (especially for the D7), I'm surprised there was no detailed schedule to get to the airport down to the minute! Keep the vlogs coming!

  3. Having a chuckle watching. So damn stressful to do anything in PT whilst in another country. We are in the Middle East and no one liked our POA either.
How come you are sending your furniture straightaway? We were told that we have to wait for the SEF appointment before we send the stuff over?
    Best of luck!

  4. It must have been very stressful & emotional for you doing such a big move. It will be worth it in the long run, expecially once you have finished the main work that you need done for your comfort , in your beautiful Portugal property.

  5. Well. No wonder There are problems when someone moves to another country not knowing the language. It's a hard thing speaking the language . It's harder in another language. Imagine immigrants or refugees trying to find a safe place to live.

  6. Best of luck guys! Hope you don’t get too stressed. Remember to slow down when you get here and take it easy! We have been waiting three years to get out place started and they have only just put the foundations in! You just have to accept everything is in Portuguese time and they do things differently. But most of all, enjoy your journey and new life! Looking forward to the next chapter 👍

  7. Incredible what amount of paperwork can go wrong! You are fortunate to be in the position not to burn all your bridges. Doesn’t that bring a sense of security?

  8. New beginnings, scary but exciting! You two are a great team and will be fine. Congratulations on your progress…slow and steady wins the race. It's amazing how animals can sense changes through our emotions. Can't wait for future updates.

  9. What a vid!! … Bet when you guys look back on this episode, you can't believe how far you've come. Thoroughly enjoying this new adventure with you 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 to 🇵🇹

  10. Tomorrow in Portuguese is :amanhã. (you used the Spanish word at the beginning of this blog). The pronunciation is something like: a (pronounced as the u in the English word mum) ma (this a is pronounced as the a in the English word account) nhã (well this is difficult to compare to English sounds. I can only say that the last a is nasal). Well, once in Portugal you can always ask. 😁
Good luck to you, your wife and your lovely dog.

  11. Good luck and we hope everything goes smoothly from now on. We moved to Cyprus a few years ago, that was very stressful with all the massive paperwork. We have now been living in New Zealand for 7 years. Again lots of paperwork. Heart stopping moments. Sold the car, sold the house and brought the cats with us. But at least we could understand the paperwork this time! Looking forward to your next post. Great channel. Laurie and Penny

  12. You did it Nick ! 👏..I could feel the tension, feel the rush the final clean through etc, stressful ..been there a few times ..but this one will be our "biggee"..packing a container with our worldly processions..worst hubbys engineering equipment..to sail across the Pacific Ocean ..to go home to New Zealand from here in Wyoming USA ..I have watched your videos to know you moved into your Portugese home 🏡..Hard work pays off …😁🥳👍👌

  13. I have watched several moves from various places to Portugal , and you two have the work ethic to make it. I wish you all the best on your adventure. I look forward to seeing your next videos. Cheers and stay safe.

  14. Holy cow you guys…you've really gone thru the grinder for this…but it is definitely worth it. We made a similar move 22 years ago with much the same challenges. We've never looked back, finally sold the house 4 years after the move with great joy to be fully in our new community. Hang in there…it does get better!!!
