Plans for a Busy September Off Grid in Portugal & August Progress Report

It’s that time again! It’s the first of September and that means I have a monthly recap video for you where I go over everything I got done (and didn’t get done) in August and set my goals for September.

August was quite productive, despite the heat, so I’m happy with what I got done. September is looking much cooler and I expect I’ll be working longer days which I’m looking forward to. There’s only so many siestas a person can take!

I hope you enjoy this video and please to like, share, and comment! Thanks for watching!

  1. Steve – do you mean herpes labialis? 90% of people carry this virus. he breaks out in stressful situations, the sun is also stressful for the skin, some tablets such as antibiotics are solvents. I had this outbreak every 3 months, but since I changed my diet and avoided any stress, it's hiding again…..

  2. You really do need to take some lysine, at least, when you start to get the Steve lip tingle. Rubbing isopropyl alcohol on the lip four or five times per day when you first start feeling it can help keep it from developing…. or developing so badly. Anyway, anxious to see the work on the September list. Will you need to put in a short piece of conduit in the gas line hole to keep it stable? I am just wondering if the stone rubble on the interior of the wall could shift and perforate the gas line, but it's not something I really know anything about.. Still crazy hot here as well and I have so much catching up to do on the summer work. I'm rooting for you!

  3. I just recently came across a couple vids about Greasing power tools.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I never knew we could and should add grease to power tools 😳 there is a large shallow bowl in angle grinder you can fill with grease 🧐 yaaaaay ❣️❣️❣️

  4. Great work. Water tank is coming along. I know what you mean about balancing work and leisure, I want to walk in nature more too. Looking forward to tomorrow’s video. Have a lovely weekend. Lisa

  5. Love your videos, I enjoy seeing all the projects you are working on. As a keen gardener and preserver I find your garden tours and cooking informative and interesting. I am in south west Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 so our climate is very similar. We are just entering spring so the hard work in the garden is just beginning. My block of land is 1200sq metres, most is filled with house, garage and shed The rest is gardens and I have 22 fruit and nut trees. Keep up the great work.

  6. You are doing a good job as you did get most of your projrcts done for the month which is excellent as the weather has been against you. A window would be lovely for you as living in a cave would be disconcerting you are a trojan for doing it for so long but to be able to have some light coming would be a benefit hope you get it finished. Keep going you are doing well.
